Dr. Yamashita made a presentation in World Agricultural Forum 2017 "Trade, New technologies and Food Security"

July 6 & 7, 2017
Venue: Stamford Ballroom, Raffles City Convention Centre

Dr. Kazuhito Yamashita, Research Director of the Canon Institute for Global Studies, was invited and made a presentation in World Agricultural Forum 2017 "Trade, New technologies and Food Security" held by the World Agricultural Forum and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University.
He emphasized in the presentation and the following question and answer session that free trade was a basis of food security and that TPP11 and Japan-EU FTA would be the most effective way for the US with protectionist mind-set to return to TPP because they might eliminate US agricultural products in the Japanese market by preferencial treatments to agricultural products from TPP11 members and EU countries.
The audience highly appreciated and evaluated his remarks.
