CIGS Workshop "Innovation in Energy and Measures against Climate Change"

November 30, 2016, 14:00 - 17:00
Venue: Conference Hall “K”, Fukuracia Tokyo Station

Purpose

"Innovation" is getting increasing attention after the Paris Agreement. With growing uncertainty of the world economy and expectation to solve the world challenges, "innovation" is playing ever-greater role. We now see "innovation" almost everywhere, including energy, climate change measures, artificial intelligence, digital technology, and space development. Can "Innovation in Energy" provide answers to climate change? To answer this, we invite Prof. Daniel Kammen of UC Barkley, renowned for his work in technologies used in renewable energy and climate change. Joined by the two experts from Japan, we discuss the role and prospects of innovation in energy to fight against climate change.
