Abstract
In the age of relentless globalization, Japanese and Korean companies are
exerting effort in adjusting their overseas operations to a globalized
modus operandi.
At the seminar, the speaker has addressed the issue of globalized corporate
social responsibility (CSR) operations from a cross-border, cross-issue,
and cross-sector perspective, which can be applicable to both Japanese and
Korean transnational corporations.
Speaker's introduction
Angela Joo-Hyun Kang is Founder and Executive President of Global Competitiveness Empowerment Forum (GCEF), a nonprofit organization to promote CSR, sustainability and business integrity, registered under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy based in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
She has been a judge of Health Enhancement Category of Asian CSR Awards hosted by Asian Institute of Management Ramon V. Del Rosario Sr. Center for Corporate Social Responsibility in Manila, Philippines. At the same time, she serves as a member of the Asia Pacific Jury panel of Cartier Women's Initiative Awards 2012 invited by Cartier Headquarter in France. She co-authored the South Korea section of "The World Guide to CSR" published in UK by Greenleaf Publishing and "Trends and Strategies of CSR" by Community Chest of Korea.
Ms. Kang was Advisor of Presidential Council of Nation Branding of Republic of Korea and is currently serving as an advisor of Community Relations Center under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
